NSLU2

NSLU2 Network Disk Controller

  • Synopsis:

Linksys makes a marvelous Network Storage Link for USB 2.0 Disks, the NSLU2. It runs embedded linux, and the source is freely available. Basically, each NSLU2 can act as a high-speed, intelligent 1-wire controller. Here's how!
  • Hardware

    • USB ports

The NSLU2 have two USB-ports. You should get a DS9490 1-wire adapter to connect your 1-wire devices. See the adapter list.

NOTE: These packages require you to have Unslung 6.8 installed on your NSLU2.

    2. Update the ipkg repository and install the packages
      ipkg update
      ipkg install owfs

(Optional packages could also be installed)

    3. Note: kmod-fuse, libfuse, fuse-utils, owlib will also be installed due to dependencies.
    4. Try starting owfs manually:
      run-owfs

(Default settings for the scripts could be changed in /opt/etc/owfs/*)
    5. Visit http://192.168.0.77:3001/
    6. To upgrade all installed packages to the latest version, just run the commands:
